We have a neighbour who is in her late 70's and would like to exchange her council house for a bungalow.
She would like somewhere that has other bungalows and people of the same age as her and possibly in a complex where there is a warden and a community centre.
I have looked on the council website but it doesn't really tell you were any of these complexes are.
Any help would be appreicated.
Thanks,
Maggie.

There are 3 area links on this page to the Council's sheltered housing http://www.sheffieldhomes.org.uk/your-area/sheltered-housing/where-are-the-sheltered-schemes
Not many bungalows though!
There are other types of warden supported housing, through individual housing associations, you might have to pick through all of these to find the sheltered ones: http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/index.asp?pgid=14573
And retirement village type of place like the one at Woodhouse: http://www.housingcare.org/assisted-living-extra-care-housing/scheme-116250-brunswick-gardens-village-woodhouse-england.aspx
Perhaps your neighbour could talk to a housing officer and explain what she'd like, they might be able to help.

Tenancy support services would be able to support your neighbour to find out about differant types of housing, visit places with her to see which she liked, apply for it, move in and settle in the new house. The whole of sheffeild is covered. Ring Nomad on 2727037. If they don't cover your area they will be able to tell you who does.
