Daddy Dave and myself were having one of our intellectual discussions last night, where Daddy Dave asked me what kind of dog I think I am (no he wasn't being mean :hihi: ).

I think that I am a golden Labrador because I have reddish hair, a gentle nature and inclined to get fat with age :hihi:

Daddy Dave we decided is a Rotti, as he has that big muscular body and needs a lot of controlling because he has behavioural problems :suspect:

So what kind of dog are you really? (not what you want to be :hihi: I would like to be a greyhound) and why?

The quiz says that I'm a cocker spaniel, but I reckon that I'm more of a great dane- stupidly oversized for this world, pretty affable, easy going and have an understanding and 'yeah, that's ok' sort of nature.

I'd prefer to be a gloriously glamorous and athletic Afghan hound- but I know that's not going to happen!

before we got Brude, Mr Strix would fix me with a look and say 'I'm not sure I could live with two beagles!
(stubborn, determined, playful, destructive... :hihi: )

The Saint Bernard is a devoted and gentle giant. Her calm personality allows her to relate well to children and adults alike while satisfying her need for companionship. She is at home in nature and enjoys exercise, though she is not particularly fond of traditional forms of play. Her coat requires weekly brushing to keep it neat and can be left long or cut short for versatility. She's relaxed in most situations, and her hassle-free nature can't be beat.

 a great big St Bernard well I would have never picked that one!

LOL I got St Bernard too... which, in all honesty sounds nothing like me...

I'm not sure what I would call myself though - in many ways I'm like my dallies only I don't have as much energy

However... traits I share with dallies would be...
Need plenty of motivation to work, stroppy, stubborn, sensitive and sulky and I'm a resource guarder!

My Daughter has just taken the test and she is a GSD:
The German Shepherd is a workaholic. Intent on business, this loyal breed is always on patrol. Suspicious of strangers, she defends her territory with a fierce reproach. When it comes to affection, she is tender and loving toward her pack and feels a deep responsibility for their well-being. Mental and physical exercise both appeal equally to the German Shepherd, and her intelligence is further enhanced by her dedicated nature. When it comes to dependability, the German Shepherd has the market cornered.

That's a great description of her lol!

Personally - I would like to say greyhound - lithe - athletic - muscular and no fat.
However, like the things that I collect - it must be a bull breed of some sort.

So - will go with staffy - Nice when dealt with correctly - lethal if wronged

Daddy Dave took the test and is pleased to announce that he is a Jack Russell terrier...here is his description.

This pint-sized explorer is the Magellan of the canine world. Always ready for adventure, the Jack Russell Terrier is known to wander off at a moment's notice. Her life is never dull, and entertainment is key. Accepting in nature, she makes friends easily and is usually the center of attention wherever she goes. Her high energy and upbeat personality make the Jack Russell Terrier a fun-loving part of any family.

Yep that does sound like Daddy Daves personality, AKA pain in the ass :hihi:

I've often said that when gene replacement therapy becomes the norm, then I'd like a greyhound gene: long legs, slim waist, big chest, but I do think I'd have a problem with the long hairy tail!

My test result said I am a St Bernard - the diet starts tomorrow!

Well it says am a cocker spaniel

The Cocker Spaniel feels the need to please. She tends to become overly submissive in her mission to make everyone happy but makes up for it with her sensitive nature. A brisk walk around the block is right up her alley, but she prefers to spend part of her time indoors. Her silky hair tends to become tangled, and regular grooming sessions are necessary to keep her looking her best. The accommodating Cocker Spaniel is truly a loving and trusted friend as well as an ideal companion.

Says Im a:

Rabid Mutt.

You are the kind of flea-infested, vile stinking, trembling creature that
would be last to be picked from any litter.

You come from indeterminate parentage, would be found in the backstreets
of some out of the way, god forsaken African village, be riddled with tapeworm, parvo and any other passing disease that happened to take your fancy.

The only time you are found indoors is when youre stealing peoples food from their
tables and if anyone WAS mentally ill enough to take you in as a pet, then
they had better learn to sleep with their eyes wide open and their legs firmly closed.

Bloody quizzes.

Well, at least it got somebody right!!

I came out as a St Bernard - accurate size-wise, but so wrong on everything else. I'm definitely a Staffie. Stubborn, thick, good-natured (until you cross me) and inclined to flatulence :hihi:

 a great big St Bernard well I would have never picked that one!

Me too- not what I wouldve thought at all- always had myself down as a bit of a GSD or maybe a couch potato retired racing greyhound

I bet there's only about half a dozen dogs on the list!
