They will find any spot of sunshine to laze in won't they. This was Porscha at eight o'clock this morning

She's lovely! I'm sure my mutt would be up on the sofa's sunning himself too if he was allowed, he has to make do in the garden!

I've been having to watch him though as he's got a red nose and a tummy that lacks much hair and is all pink and pale so I'm having to check he's not burning and bring him inside after a while. Like most dogs he's not a fan of running around in the hot weather so is rather docile

Evei, if his nose and tummy are at risk of burning, how about applying a little Petscreen (http://www.petremedies.co.uk/product.asp?P_ID=118)?

For bare bits of animals whilst they sunbathe (and also for cats and dogs with white ears and noses) Petscreen is a clear, non-sticky spray that's SPF23. It's also non-toxic if they groom it off and a bottle lasts ages.

EDIT- and that's a lovely piccie of a trusting and happy dog Foxy! I'd never get a similar one of Molly because she sleeps with her eyes open and I've never been near her without her waking up!

I never really thought about it like that, but its lovely to think she is so happy and content that she can flop with no worries :)

Sun cream for dogs! I think I've seen it all now :hihi: I'd never heard of it before.

I think I'll stick with keeping him in the shade/ inside as I wouldn't want him to overheat either, though would be good for day trips out.

His nose is covered in mud he's managed to find so I think that will be pretty effective sunblock for now
