I quite like dogs (not as much as cats but I like them) but I have to admit that there are some breeds that I really can't take to.

I was wondering if this is the same for everyone else. For me it is Alsatians and English Bull Terriers.

I am rather scared of Rotti's :blush: I find them quite intimidating especially the big males.

I'm also not madly keen on mastiffs and some of the other bull breeds...I know that they have really nice natures, and I would never avoid or be mean to them, but just not for me that's all.

I'm not a lover of small dogs like Yorkshire terriers or any little ones that are yappy; I'm very clumsy and need to have a dog that wouldn’t get tripped over also nothing too fluffy.

I love pointers/ retrievers/ Labradors/ short haired GSD/ great Danes (though I'd never have one) and of course my mutt of a dog! Though I have to admit he was not what I thought I'd end up with though.

I'd never have a small yappy dog! I have 2 cavaliers (more the size of cocker spaniels though, the good old fashioned type!) and a big rescue dog (can't tell you what he is as i'm going to start a thread on him soon!). I absoloutley adore rotties, I think they get very bad publicity but some can become very intimidating in the wrong hands. Weimeranas are at the top of my list for favourites!

Yorkies,westies,chihuhhuhuhuhas(you know the ones),poodles,****zus,lhaso apos's.

I cant belive the sfbot masked out the dog breed.

Neopolitan Mastifs are nice.

There was a lady at a fair in cornwall last week, she had a Neopolitan Mastiff and a rottweiler with her.

I've never seen a Rottweiler look like a toy breed before :lol: The mastiff was easily twice it's size.

vizsla cross Weimaraner are beautiful looking dogs.

There was a lovely weimaraner in a rescue that we looked at, but we decided against it, the personality of the dog just did'nt seem right for us. If I ever get a dog from a puppy it will be a Vizsla.

I don't like small yappy dogs either, and poodles and I find akitas scary .My mom in law has a chihauhau he is 16yrs and he is the exception to the little dog rule.I love staffy's ,german shepherd's,st bernards,english bulls,spaniels and border collies:love:I don't like cats at all.

I dont like small yappy dogs either i would much rather have a big dog, i think each dog is beautiful in its own way but i would always choose a big dog plus i dont like this mixed breeds people keeps coming up with - just a money making excuse!

I'm also not a fan of little yappy dogs. Of course there are individual dogs that are exceptions to the rule and I have no problems with other people having them- they just aren't for me I'm afraid.

BTW- Willman- if you'd spelled the breed correctly it wouldn't have been eaten by the swear filter. It's shihtzu.

Im not keen on small dogs either i much prefer a big stocky dog that you can get to grips with. In saying that i do quite like pugs the remind me of minature mastiffs
Its a joke in my house cut me down the middle and you would see Staffie running through my core but i argue and say i just loove all Bull breeds well all dogs but everyone has there own preferences dont they.
I would never hurt any dog.

i love all dog breeds, i myself go for the larger breeds but been a walker i have got chance to see all different dog breed tempermants and cant fault any so far, they are all so indivisual and thats the nice thing, i walk a massive rotti whos big and gorgeous and then the a tiny terrier whos as fiesty as they come and fab, each are as gorgeous as the other. anna.x.

not many people would think of that mix, funnily enough thats what my bitch is, she's gorgeous and so friendly, she looks like a weimaraner but is like a chocolate red colour

I love most breeds of dog, we have 3 in our house, weim x vizsla, a staffy and a shar pei, I'm not the biggest fan of little yappy dogs though

I personally think the ugliest dogs are english bull terriers .... I cant imagine what anyone seen in them .... but thats just me.

Ive got a cavy but also love all spaniels, ... oh and labs ... in fact most breeds except rotties ..... they scare me which is probably down to media frenzie, but i just dont trust the temprement, so for me rotties are a definate no no

Akita's scare me sh - less, and I can't stand EBT. Staffies it depends on the dog, I could have easily taken NaNa home for example

I don't like English Bull Terriers, I think they are ugly. I don't like Jack Russels, one tried to attack my head, I only went to say hello to the little turd :huh:

At first they appear to have little character due to the lack of a real face :hihi: but they are very loyal dogs and have loads of charcter.

dont dislike any breed but do prefer the big slobbery types !!

I don't like EBT's at all, they remind me of pigs (although i actually quite like pigs lol) I don't usually like "yappy" dogs, which generally tend to be most small breeds. For their looks, I like BIG dogs, the bigger the better - GSD's, Neo's, Newfies, St Bernards and Old English Sheep dogs.

I think it must be the shape of the face on an EBT that puts me off and the association with Bullseye (that is Bill Syke's dog in Oliver Twist and not that I dislike Jim Bowen)
