Texts cost 50p? I'll just have a really good look and give the voting a miss, thanks.

I see Britney Spears has entered (I had no idea she comes from Ilkeston, Derbyshire).

EDIT: I've just had another really good luck (just to make sure it was Britney Spears and I wasn't making myself look foolish :| ). Can anyone tell me why they're all doing that Mylene Klass mangled hand thing? It looks stoopid, as if someone has superglued their fingers to their hips and they're trying to pull their hands away whilst still smarming at the camera. The pose usually incorporates the elbows-superglued-to-the-kidneys look.

I'm not sure I get these competitions... What are the criteria? Just looks? Surely not in this enlightened age... Most of the candidates seem to be advertising their having recovered from serious health problems... perhaps we're voting for the healthiest woman? Or the most determined?

hee... what is it with the serious health problems bit! they have ONE sentance to sell their 'personality' and they say " ooh, i were ill with t'flu once'... genius
...and before any rants that i'm insensitive to illnesses, i'm not! it's the context they say it in... :)

"...aye, i'll 'ave number 2 please Cilla, cos she had an ear infection, survived fingernail cancer then lost her little toe in a freak lawn sprinkler incident..."

And why is the competition only open to women?

I'd like to enter. I'm 43.97 years old, 34 waist, 15 collar, size 9 wide fitting shoes and I like working with children and animals. Or children raised by animals. If I won I would bring about world peace. Vote now.

but remember, you'll need to have had a serious disease/health problem (and survived, obviously) to even think about competing... :)

I don't like any of them that much.

No offence to anyone, but they all look like the stereotypical image of beauty that we are all supposed to like.

They look okay enough, but not everyone has the same taste and they all look moderately similar.

Haha, glad it wasn't just me that thought that!!

Fair enough I probably wouldn't kick any of them out of bed for eating crisps but.....gimme some people who look like they've lived a bit.
