Hi, im after puppy classes in Rotherham, Sheffield or surrounding areas.

Im collecting a rescue puppy next week and wont be ready for another 3 weeks to join (pup is having 1st injection next week)

I want the pup to meet other pups and then do obedience class too.

Thanks

some vets do puppy parties as socialisation, only puppies are there and the get to have fun games!

It depends how formal you want the training classes to be really, our dog goes to rother valley agility club and there is puppy training there. £2.50 a session I think. Seems to be pretty good, and once you've got the basics you can move onto agility.

We took our dog to a very formal training and if the dogs misbehaved you got a discusted look. Having 2 rescue dogs myself, I decided that this type of class wasn't any good for these 2, unlike the pampered pedigree pooch!

hehe, I'm getting there!! If you know of any halls that might let me take dogs in please let me know! Sheffield hates dogs apparently!

DZZ - boneyfido run basics classes not sure when their next ones are starting - they're not all for puppies though, any age basic obedience :) www.boneyfidodogs.co.uk

I can recommend Boney Fido Dog Training Class - we completed the easy basics & have now moved onto the advanced class. Great fun!!

We have missed the start of the latest ones, no rush really, shes not that bad to be honest, Parka was much much worse at her age.

I just have to remember shes a proper terrier and therefore pretty head strong, unless she sees a point in doing summat, she dont do it and I quite like that about her/terriers.

You'll get there :) Takara used to be quite like that and still is I suppose - only thing is she's learnt the point.

She used to stop and look as if to say 'why should I? What's in it for me?' but she's learned now that there might be something really good in it for her but I'm not going to tell her til she's done it so she does it anyway :D hehe
