Hi,

I hope you may be able to help me...

A friend is moving to Kimberworth to be the assistant manager of a pub and is looking to rent a 1 bed flat for approx £400pcm.

They do not drive and would loke something in walking distance to the Drawbridge on Wortley road or a short bus ride as it is for a lady who does not drive.

Help appreciated inany properties that you might know of or decent estate agencies.

Thanx

Hi

I have always found Merryweathers Estate Agents in Rotherham to be very proffesional.

About a mile up the road(away from Rotherham) opposite the Effingham Arms pub is a large block of fairly new flats which I believe are owned by a housing association. It would only be a 15 minute walk and there is a good bus service.

Alternatively why not try for a council property on Kimberworth Park. It again would be walkable or you could get a bus to the Co-op store just 5 mins walk from the Drawbridge.

I lived in Kimberworth for many years and was very happy. I think the Drawbridge is crap though!!

the drawbridge is very easy to get to from town. As it's on the main rotherham/barnsley road, and bang next to Superbowl the buses are good up and down there. Consider looking in wingfield or Scholes for cheaper alternatives to thorpe hesley. Kimmy is quite nice if you go to the right end.

I have a house available to rent in Herringthorpe. It's a two bedroom with a garage and garden. Not far from Kimberworth. PM me if interested.
