There is going to be a free knitting supplement in The Guardian on Saturday. It looks as though it might be novelty items. Just thought I would let you know. :)

Just thought I would let you know. :) littleblue 24-07-2008, 15:29 Is this the one with the ¨banana¨ cosy? :hihi: Sally-Pie 24-07-2008, 19:17 Yes, it's this Saturday (26th). I'm sure there will be other equally comedic patterns. JayneRay 25-07-2008, 07:29 Is this the one with the ¨banana¨ cosy? :hihi: Is this a euphnism for something else? JillM 25-07-2008, 12:42 Is this a euphnism for something else? No - it really is a banana cosy! Could be used for other things though...... Lucy-Lastic 25-07-2008, 15:23 Well you never know when you might need to warm up your banana do you :loopy: Sally-Pie 25-07-2008, 18:30 I think the idea behind the banana cosy is to stop your banana from getting bruised in your bag. It looks though it might be curved in shape so not sure what else you could use it for  AmelieB 25-07-2008, 18:42 I think the idea behind the banana cosy is to stop your banana from getting bruised in your bag. It looks though it might be curved in shape so not sure what else you could use it for  But not all bananas are curved. Some are bendy, some are straight. Some are quite short and thick, others long and thin. JillM 26-07-2008, 12:08 But not all bananas are curved. Some are bendy, some are straight. Some are quite short and thick, others long and thin. We're definitely discussing bananas here, right? AmelieB 26-07-2008, 12:52 Yes. Although I suppose we could also be referring to courgettes. Sally-Pie 27-07-2008, 08:56 Well I thought the supplement was a tad disappointing. There were a couple of sock patterns that I might give a go (a lacy one and one for boys), but it was stuff you could make without a pattern. Lucy-Lastic 28-07-2008, 13:21 Looks like the Rebel Knitters Guide is available online here (http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2008/jul/26/therebelknittersguide/therebelknittersguide) - it seems to include the patterns too for anyone who missed it. |
