Who Decides these Odds? They'll be lucky to get in the Playoffs at best!

Reading, Birmingham, Derby, Watford, Bristol, Palace, Ipswich and Wolves are all gonna be up there! Plus there's always a Suprise Team who could be someone like Swansea or Forest! Or Maybe even Wednesday LOL!

Who decides the odds? The bookmakers, based on two factors; how likely something is to happen, and at what price they can tempt people to have a bet on it.

Do they deserve to be favourites? Well, the form they showed over the last two months of last season, if carried over into this one, would say yes; and it's not like 11-1 is a very short price for a favourite. It implies a better than 90% chance that they will not win the division.

11-1 is the equivelent of being 3rd/4th Favourites though? Which they clearly aint though cause they always lose the head to head against playoff rivals! They only finish 8th! and they would have finish mid table had it not been for a the little run they had! It's ridiculous though if they think people who aren't Blades fans are gonna put money on them!

Not sure where you go your info from but most bookies have the Blades as 5th favourites. William Hills do have them as 4th though. QPR or Brum are the bookies choice.

It's about winning the Championship, not what may or may not happen in the play offs.

Does every favourite win horse races, or greyhound races, or any book for that matter? I actually think 11/1 is a fair quote, although you can get 12/1 with Bet365.

There are only Birmingham, QPR, and Reading above us in the betting, with Derby just behind on 14/1 (best odds in the village).

QPR are only there because their owners are rich, but probably stupid as Dowie is terrible. Birmingham are deserved favourites, and I can see Derby being mid-table also rans.

Sornob was the reason why we performed so poorly last year, and that was borne out by our later run. From the time of Blackwell's appointment, only Hull outscored us in terms of points. We still have the division's second highest scorer, and he is put in as second fav to be the top scorer behind Phillips.

We have a settled squad, that needs just a tiny bit of tinkering. I'm never optimistic, but from a betting point of view, we're worth a punt.

That was 3 Years ago! I wouldn't back the Blades to win the Division if they were the only team in it! The Eagles plays the ball on the deck more than them! Blackwell may do better but he won't get them up! Just like with Leeds!

Forgot about QPR that's another team That could be up there! As for Derby well just cause they were rubbish last Season doesn't mean they won't do a job this season as Paul Jewell's done it before with Wigan and Bradford!

Because people think that the Blades are better than they actually are. :D

I don't think the OP understands bookmaking terms, to be frank. He probably sees "13/2 favourite, 9/1 favourite, 10/1 favourite" all the way down to the outside of all, the 10,000/1 favorite or whatever price it might be.

Didn't the bookies have Hull to be cert relegation favourites last season & Stoke to finish mid table, the bookies don't always get it right.
