hi to all!

me and my husband have been living in sheffield city centre for the last 4 months, and the contract for our rented flat will expire in september.

i need some opinions please where about we can move to. we want an apartment near city centre, where the tram can be accessed easily. also it is important that the area is quiet (university students tend to be very noisy) and extremly safe.

all your help and opinions are appreciated!
thank you so much!

It's unusual you didn't get any replies to your post. I've only just seen it myself having not been on this forum for a few weeks. I think you must have dumbfounded folks with your request - so good for you that you sorted it out for yourself.

I'd have been no use to you in any case because I'm a snob and I think that the only place to live is West of Sheffield or Derbyshire. I might have tried to suggest something though - but it's hard to think of a quiet, safe area near the city centre with apartments that is not student territory. Too many permutations there I'd say. In fact, it's hard to think of a quiet, safe area near the city centre, full stop.

I wouldn't take the lack of responses as an indicator that Sheffield folks are "UNhelpful". There are some very helpful folks in Sheffield. For example, there's one who lives in Crookes. I think your list of desirable features was so long that most folks are still thinking about an answer.
