I am making pizza tomorrow for a friend who cannot eat eggs. The only recipe I have for pizza dough requires an egg. I was just wondering whether leaving the egg out would result in disaster or would it just mean the dough was less malleable?

Egg is pizza?

It is basically bread dough but fro bread you add a little more yeast and more salt.

200g Strong plain flour (bread flour)
half sachet of dried yeast
half teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
135ml luke warm water (add half first then add gradually until right consistency)

Mix it all together, knead for 10 minutes and then roll or push out onto oiled tray of desired size / shape then place in a warm place to rise for about half an hour (minimum)

This makes one approx 9 / 10" round pizza therefore double / tripple mixture as desired.

We use this all the time for pizza at school works every time.

I did it tonight and it was gorgeous. Flour, lukewarm water, salt, sugar, yeast, crushed garlic and italian seasoning - yum!

And enough left over for lunch tomorrow
