There used to be a place on Abbeydale Road near the St Lukes shop, but it's no longer there!
I have a nice little Kodak cx6445, but the lens no longer comes out when it is switched on.
Anyone know where I can get it repaired or looked at or will it be cheaper to buy a new one?
I don't really want to just bin it!
Thanks.
at the cost of a repair, you could buy a new Panasonic Lumix for little more, a repair for that could hit £100+, you can get a nice new 10.1mPixel, wide angle lumix for around £150

sounds like the gears have gone or the motor that turns them.
I've just looked on eBay and there selling for around £20 so unless the fix is less than that then seems better to buy another.

I agree with those who suggest buying a new one. We discovered similar when our digital camera began playing up. All repair places estimated £80 or more for repair on a camera which is worth half that now, so we chose to buy a new, and better one, with another 3 years insurance.
Dear All,
I had same problem and you are all right. It costs less to buy a better camera for less than £100.
