Hi there!!

We are well underway with our wedding plans and have become a bit stuck with the suit options.

We want to hire the menswear but the problem is that my partner wants suits for him and the ushers that are 50's fitted style (like the rat pack- waist coats, dinner jacket etc). Traditional morning jackets are no good due to the size of some of the ushers (some tall, some small!!) and we dont want ppl feeling looking like they are wearing their dads suits..!

We are finding it difficult to get this style to hire and we cannot expect everyone to pay for new suits!

Has anyone experienced something similar; what have you done? Or has anyone got any advice?? All and any ideas welcome!!

Agood hire place will have the correct sizes for each person so they won't look like they are wearing their dads suit.There is a place at the manor someone on here will know the place not sure if they have what you are looking for.I am buying ours from skopes outlet at castleford.

hey carrie, have you tried Youngs in Meadowhall or Francesca in town, both hire out suits, and like waddy says any good shop will have correct sizes

they sell dinner suits at matalan, which is what i think we're going for. they're nice looking and only cost about £40. then you could maybe just hire the waistcoats?

give Ashley Rodgers on Manor Top a ring. My OH is getting his suits from there and they are really helpful

La Bella Brides at Chapeltown have a mens section were my OH, best man and usher are hiring their suits from. There really nice and helpful there and there's lots of choice.

Dragging this thread back up, but we've just booked the mens suits at youngs in meadowhall. They have an offer on where if you hire 5 suits or more, you get the grooms free. If you go on the website you can also print a 10% discount voucher. We've managed to get each suit package for about £45 each (they're all paying there own so used the grooms free offer to make them cheaper if that makes sense)
Nice bloke and very intuitive - he sent my OH to the changing rooms when he realised there was a problem with the shades and colours he was using lol
