View Full Version : Anti social behaviour targeted
Blunkett has said that a new strategy will be launched to tackle Anti Social Behaviour. The following will be targeted with greater powers been given to the authorities: Grafitti, car theives, yobs, nuisance neighbours.
Where have I heard this before? That's right, I think it was about 2 years ago. I presume that this is the same group of people that good old Tone planned on dragging to the nearest available cash machine. Will someone kindly enlighten these people that some of these individuals will not have bank accounts, they will not pay taxes, fines or anything else similiar. Some of them will only deal strictly in cash, drugs or 'Del Boy'objects.
David...think of something quickly to get me out of this brown stuff.. Tony. :D

pontious 14-10-2003, 22:24 As I get older and grumpier I seriously think they should bring back National Service. :o
DaBouncer 15-10-2003, 08:40 I think national service is a good idea.
A lot of young un's these days have no respect for anyone.
Teen gangs are on the increase, something will have to give soon.
Make em serve 2 yrs min, that will irradicate a lot of the problems!
Or maybe an updates national service... like making all colleges Boot Camp colleges, or Militray Schools. They can get the A levels they want, but have to still do drills, respect the 'sarge' etc etc.
Teen gangs are a menace though. Even I'm afraid to walk past them sometimes because they're so intimidating, and I'm 22. Is it just me or have gangs of youths only come about in recent years? I never loitered on the streets as part of a 'gang' when I was younger.

So you never went drinking on the local park when you were as kid? Never hung around the local shops trying to get somone to buy you cigarettes or beer?
Nope, 'fraid not. But I did live in the sticks, maybe it's different in the city.
Even in my village though these days, we have gangs of youths loitering these days. It never used to happen.
Although I was never part of a gang I did hang out with friends in the streets. The difference is we did not do damage or harass innocent people. Where I live the gas company are doing major repiping of supply and the kids are moving all the covers off the holes and messing about with the piles of dirt. They are not that old and their parents are not worried about where they are or what they are doing. That is the point. Nothing can be done without parental cooperation. Teenagers do not have to be in at night at a reasonable time and this has to be wrong.
The teenagers hang about in our local supermarket car park and encourage boy racers, they drink and are a nuisance. Never mind that they complain there is nothing for them to do. We did not have anything to do but we had a laugh with our friends. That is what it was all about. Not trouble

Hey I'm a teenager and I don't do the whole "teen gang" thing. Maybe just the awful gits with no respect should be sent packing to military school. Even then do you think it'd work??
I grew up at a time when there was a War every twenty five years, and during that period of my life I do not remember any thugs and violence as there is today.
There was national service, so the young people were taken off the streets and given some disipline, it is a sad thing to say but it was a lot better when there were wars on a regular basis, because it allowed the young thugs to get the aggression out of their system.
Now, instead of going to war to kill, they pick on innocent old people, women and children and anyone who is available to satisfy their disgusting blood lust, bring back the birch, cat o nine tails and the rope I say, to get rid of this cancer in our society.
So what all you lot are saying is that we should all go to school all day, then stay at home all night. Er a dont think so!!! I admit that there are some threatening gangs that think there hard like the S2 gals/bois, or the VIB but most dont even class them selves as gangs...simpally a group of mates meeting up because there is nowt else to do.
I meet my mates like all you lot do, but we dont have knitting club to go to or have money to spend on actually doing summat every nite, hense that is why we end up just hanging around. From my experiance it is not always fun hanging around in the freezin cold, or sitting in bus shelters for hours but we dont have anything else to do!!!
Back in the black and white days kids used to play ball games in the street, but now we arnt even allowed to do that as there is 'NO BAL GAMES' signes up all round the estate. Give us a youth club (that is half decent) then people would not habg around the street, and i bet a lot of petty crimes would not happen, but if we did not hang round the street...all the old people would have to find something else to complain about, there will always be something!!! from becky chelsea and rochelle x

If what youre meaning is that our names are not to your taste then were sorry, but there is nowt we can do if that is what we are called. If i was called Elizabeth or something i would still be me, but with a posh name.
Mr Prime 08-04-2006, 20:40 I hate to be prejudiced but such names conjure up images. Let me guess girls, you wear shellsuits, gold, have dyed hair and think 'Chico' is really good innit? You shout and yell in the street and have no dignity, you have your ears permanently glued to a mobile into which you scream all your personal life and go for Darrens who treat you like dirt and you wonder why?
Am I right? I bet some of those points are true...:hihi:

I know a young lady in the office called Rebecca I must admit and I see the rest when I venture out of the compound and head for the city centre or Meadowhall.
Fashion tip; gold only looks tasteful against dark skin e.g. the ladies of Spain  etc, best stick to silver or indeed the beads.
Fashion tip 2: only dress like the Pussycat Dolls if you are as easy on the eye.
I bet you like Rachel Stevens though and Robbie Williams, all the pointless musical wallpaper :gag:
Can I ask you ladies to keep it down on the mobiles though? I dont want to hear the intimate details of your love affairs while reading the FT (its like Heat but concerns money). ;)
Thank you
And they say that young people have no respect these days? Good grief, is it any wonder with adults around who spout this kind of cheap insulting nonsense. I have a daughter (admittedly younger than Beckie and her mates) and if I found an adult speaking to her like that I'd be bloody furious.
Mr Prime 09-04-2006, 22:33 Fashion tips and jokes about music are hardly 'six of the best' now.
Having been called every name under the sun by gangs of teenagers, male and female for no reason on several occassions I am 'battle hardened' shall we say.
No one really knows how their teenagers behave out of sight, I doubt the ones I encountered speak to their parents the way they spoke to me.
I think my response is rather measured compared to some of the other 'old wa*****' on here.
Teen gangs are a menace though. Even I'm afraid to walk past them sometimes because they're so intimidating, and I'm 22. Is it just me or have gangs of youths only come about in recent years? I never loitered on the streets as part of a 'gang' when I was younger.
Very true m8, im 24 and didnt really see gangs of people when i was at shool.
I can see where your coming from with gangs, you dont know what they are carrying weapon wise.
My girlfriends m8 was pushed against a bus stop about 3 months ago now by 3 thugs with hoodies. They took pics of her breast and felt her lower parts while her boyfriend stood and watched.
Im still puzzled and shocked in how this happened, i cant really figure why my girlfriends m8 isnt feeling some sort of rape in a way and didnt report it.

Becky, ignore the name stuff and dont bite to it :D
Youth clkubs have been in the past but they were abused, youths causing chaos and facilties vandalised (although i grant not all).
Back in the B&W day kids used to play ball games in the street but were so much civilised. Today, not at all. Back in the B&W day they had playgrounds, today they are vandalised. It's the same logic. Go and find a field to play football or something that's what we did.
You have to accept that youths (not all) generally have a bad reputation these days, the best thing you can do is not add to it if you're out and about. When you do hang around, amke sure it's not outside someones home.

Well said, Halibut.
For goodness sake people, you're supposed to be adults.
The girls can't help the names their parents gave them - give them a break.
It's a bit sad, all you big, brave blokes picking on young girls. They've taken the time and trouble to come on here and give their views, so they can't be all that 'chavvy' can they?

Who are these S2 peasants?
Who are these S2 peasants?
I've not had the internet lately, so have not been able to defend myself...but im back now.
I'm not denying all of what has been said, i dont live in the best area, i havent had the best family life ever, and i do know a lot of chavs, so call me a pesent or what ever else you want because 'sticks and stones may brake my bones, but words will never hurt me.' Also how can you make fun of me and my mates when you have never even met us.:hihi:
I could start name calling rite back at you, but im not as pethetic as you lot (not including the ones that did not join in).
And asked for the people of S2, they are not pesents!!!
who are s2 as round our way we got s14 crew do you no them
Some of you are coming across as a bunch of snobs.
Sure, I'm a bit of a pedant where English is concerned, but I hope I never come across as judging someone according to their postcode or their name.
You never know when the wheel of fate will swing round and land you in completely different circumstances to those you sound priviliged to enjoy right now. You might think you're immune - I doubt you are. Many a pride, etc!

thats ok then as im far from it people are always to quick to jump these days but shunt as nevver no what round the corner do they?
Swan_Vesta 06-05-2006, 20:42 Well, seeing as this thread has a title in the realm of what I have just been confronted with then I'll vent my spleen.
Me and our lass were standing on the steps to our gaff when a gaggle of noisy, p*ssed up teenagers could be heard coming down our alley. I heard one 'whisper' sotto voce "Gimme a minute - I'm 'avin a p*ss" followed by the easily identifiable sound of urine on concerete. I walked round the corner to be confronted by a teenage girl (approx 14 - 17) with her strides round her ankles squatting in my alley and urinating like it was going out of fashion.
She looked up and said "Sorry pal", as I told her not to p*ss in my alley and ***** off fairly quickly she pulled her strides up and carreened into her equally inebriated friend before teetering off laughing merrily.
How's that for antisocial? God damn cheap, scabby chavs and their lack of breeding, respect and decency. I'd go round and p*ss on their property if I didn't think I'd up the value!!
who are s2 as round our way we got s14 crew do you no them
i dont even live in s2 any more, but i was sticking up for the people that live there, not talking about crews there, but they also happen to be called s2 crew and wybourn boyz btw. Yes i know a couple of people out of s14 crew, but dont hang round with them.
I know it may sound a bit chavvy, but it was only in answer to that question.
