Does anyone know of an inexpensive simple way to determine who reacts first when asked a question? Who has the "Fastest Finger First"? Is there a game already on the market with such a device in it?

It doesn't have to be technical - I was thinking of getting coloured ping pong balls (from Decathlon) and throwing them into a funnel. The first ball to drop out of the bottom shows who was quickest ... but this could look a bit naff - a bit too "Heath Robinson" (who WAS he???)

Hiya Spinac, Easiest way i can think of is to get a Door Bell for one, and a Door Buzzer for the other, hope it gives you some ideas.

Heath Robinson was an illustrator who drew a series of exceedingly complicated fantastic machines for a series of childrens books, the name of which escapes me.

It was of course Professor Branestawme.

have a look in the charity shops for an electronic game called QUIZZARD.
(google it..2 x zeds) it has a six leg cheap plastic spider in there with the logic for what you need. if you are a bit handy you can maybe uproot its heart and put some other switches on. (the ball thing works pretty well, but put spots and stripes on too for the colourblind)
