View Full Version : Was the new 3g IPHONE worth the wait ??? mollygeorge 20-07-2008, 07:37 Do you have any hacks, tips or anything at all to say about the new IPHONE ?? Pipine 20-07-2008, 09:10 I got mine ok Friday and I love it. It's even better than I had imagined, the user interface is so slick and I've downloaded some cool games for it and I love that my email, texts, calendar and web browsing are all in the same place :-) not even tested it on a wifi network yet, presume it's even faster. the_rudeboy 20-07-2008, 09:29 Still can't understand why they chose to stick with a poxy 2meg camera though. *Wallace* 20-07-2008, 09:34 My old Samsung has a 3 mp camera and it's pants. slh73 20-07-2008, 09:37 Still can't understand why they chose to stick with a poxy 2meg camera though. So that when they release the 'new' iphone in 6 months time thats exactly the same as the current one but with a 5mp camera, all the people who were sucked into buying this one will shell out even more cash to trade up again. Cynical, me? Never. the_rudeboy 20-07-2008, 09:39 My old Samsung has a 3 mp camera and it's pants.I agree, the camera on my samsumg was bobbins too. The nokia is tons better. Still doesnt excuse Apple sticking with it though. DaFoot 20-07-2008, 14:57 I haven't bought one, so will refrain from expressing an opinion on the vote. I'm interested to see what people who have got one think. bellis 20-07-2008, 15:02 i heard its coming on pay as you go soon heaven knows how much it will cost mr chris 20-07-2008, 15:17 I'm happy keeping my iPod and Phone as separate items. As slick and pretty as the iPhone is, if the battery runs out I can't make calls! If the battery runs out on my iPod, I can make calls. Plus I have GPS, Office and other bits and pieces on my TyTn II. It's still a pretty item, though. As for the camera, well, phone cameras are always pretty useless, but then I own lots of cameras... robS35 20-07-2008, 16:21 Amazes me how people moan about the standard of some cameras that are in mobile phones. End of the day its a camera built into a mobile phone. What do you want a EOS 1Ds MK III & a L lens in your phone ? DaFoot 20-07-2008, 16:23 Amazes me how people moan about the standard of some cameras that are in mobile phones. End of the day its a camera built into a mobile phone. What do you want a EOS 1Ds MK III & a L lens in your phone ? Of course, but some cameras in phones are better than their bretherin. I for one would rather not take my SLR on a pub crawl ;) robS35 20-07-2008, 16:44 Of course, but some cameras in phones are better than their bretherin. I for one would rather not take my SLR on a pub crawl ;) Agreed, i have a nice 5mp camera in my Sony Ericsson which is great for taking the odd snap shot here & there, but i do know its limitations and wouldnt expect to be able to get the same kind of results i do with my Canon DSLR. I just think some people moan just cus a phone has only 2mp camera ect, but then again like what was said in a earlier post no doubt in a few months time Apple will upgrade their current iPhone and all the Appleholics will queue up like lemmings again to buy one. Crayfish 20-07-2008, 17:16 I'm still waiting for a laptop, DSLR and mp3 player that fits comfortably into my pocket. 2050? mollygeorge 20-07-2008, 17:30 Well guys I also got mine on the launch day Friday....I think its a fantastic piece of kit and cant knock it in anyway at all...............keep up the good work APPLE jl-heating 20-07-2008, 17:41 i also prefer my htc tyn 11 it is a proper phone mans phone. :) mr chris 20-07-2008, 20:29 What do you want a EOS 1Ds MK III & a L lens in your phone ? Well... yes, that would be rather nice. |
