Best looking film on the new title shelf in the vid shop turns out to be completely made in Sheffield with many places easily recognisable. Its a fairly good film (for Sheffield?), a bit gritty (and has some genuine hard porn so thumbs down there, scuse the nasty pun).

While it has a reasonable lesson (moral in the story), something to do with you have to hit the bottom before you can appreciate life in the city, in parts its a bit too familiar and the male actors at least appear like the guys I used to hang about with but now try to avoid... Then again, I felt a bit more chilled and cheery'working class' this morning out and about (haha wonder how long that'll last!).

Best acting goes to the little boy whos a deadringer for our kid when he was that age.

Also if you've seen it my guess that the girl's flat is in the Collegiate Crescent area (obviously the door was painted and the numbers changed) Yeah, so what...
Hmm, be interested to know if kiddie bare knuckle fighting exists here...

Its in Apollo on London Rd btw and I'll be returning my copy later this after. There's loads oon the web about it of course.

Just found this Q asked of the director

Apparently you didn't rehearse your actors on The Principles Of Lust?

"No I didn't rehearse them at all. ....'we also used handheld cameras all the time so the actors could go wherever they wanted and we could follow them....."

---
No wonder much of it seemed boring and familiar!
