I'm going to a friends house tomorrow for lunch (there will be 4 or 5 adults and 4 kids) and we've agreed to go along with the principles of "pot luck" each person brings something with them which hasn't been specified.

I think I'll do dessert so I need something to do 8 or 9 which is simple to cook and transport. Any ideas?

crumble, easy to do in bulk, easy to transport and easy to cook. plus theres loads of good fruit available at the moment so it can be interesting

What about a cake, like the Banana Loaf (http://www.be-ro.com/recipe/showrec15.html). It's easy to make, and you can get a least 12 slices from it.
