Well at 9:30 this evening our phone rings and upon answering my husband was greeted with "hello this is ...... ......, I'm Reise's friend from school" to which my husband replied "ok and how can I help you?" - to which he was met with complete silence and then a small voice says "Can I please speak to her?"

Reise goes on the phone with strict instructions of no longer than 5 mins (it's a bit late for a 10yo to be on the phone even in the summer hols) and when she comes off the phone she's all bashful and gets upset with questions of Is that your boyfriend?

So needless to say my 10yr old is growing up, I'm dying at the thought she has a "boyfriend" no matter how innocent.

What I want to know is; What are his intentions with my daughter? Rinnie I want you to answer this seeing as the boy in question is in her class and related to you!!!

It seems that you're the one brought the subject up, made the child embarrassed and probably put ideas into her head that weren't there before.

Whatever happens next, will be all your own doing.

lol, I know. When I said upset I didn't really mean upset, more embarrassed than anything.

Ahh the joys of parenting eh! My eldest keeps telling me of the trials of being a stud muffin and being persued by girls all the time

He's 13 and suddenly become a MAN! apparently :hihi: Bless, I bet the little lad was soiling himself when dad answered. Let them get on with it, if they want to meet up in the hols just make sure you know they are supervised.

tut, tut ... how could you! you're a bad person. :D

I am a bit shocked, though, that you'd immediately start teasing your own little girl about ladding just because a little boy rang her at home. It was probably something totally innocent and now you've forced the apple on her! oh dear ... there's no going back now ... the seed's been planted. :hihi:

Aww, bless!

Until laddo discovered girls, the safest place in the house to leave any valuables was under the soap!!!

then once he'd discovered girls, that was it, we couldn't get him out of the bathroom!

no he's her "boyfriend" not just a boy who is a friend. As it happens I'm certain it's all very innocent and she blushed when I told her I had asked his aunt about his intentions lol

My youngest is 4 months and she has a couple of little friends at Jelly's and she seems to prefer to flutter her eyelashes at the little boys - she's a hussy!

I'm so glad I've got a boy! That was one of the things that kept going through my mind when MrsCamrat was pregnent 'If it's a girl, how will I cope when she brings home her first boyfriend!'

Well thats unacceptable to me, I shall be having words with his mummy regarding her sons cheating. Scarlett will be crushed! lol

Reise was mortified at Jelly's today when someone asked about her boyfriend (In a bllushing but not really THAT bothered kinda way)

Excuse me Annie, Scarlett is already betrothed to Littleboo or has she forgotten him in favour of a new beau, I hope she lets my son down gently if thats so, he may be scarred for life. Also sorry Reise didnt mean to embarrass you, I just think its really sweet.

lol, no I know she's betrothed to little boo however his friendship with the twins was making her jealous so she thought she'd hold James' hand to see if it'd spur little boo to pay her more attention. Unfortunately she didn't much like holding James' hand and cried even though he was giving her a winning smile!
