Liam C & Jenny Fu - The Delve Deeper Duo!
and Dave Hardy - Act Like Ya Know/Jus House Music.

Liam and Jenny are the driving force behind Delve Deeper. A jewel in Sheffield's underground house crown. Featuring some of the very best DJs from Sheffield and beyond.

A Word About Liam

It was during the early 1990's, whilst still in his school years, that
Liam first became aware of house music and was swept away by its
power.

Heavily influenced by the U.S. House sounds being played by DJ's such
as Masters At Work, Roger Sanchez, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles,
Danny Krivit and Doc Martin, he instantly knew that he wanted to be
part of this new culture and so he started to purchase records from
influential labels at that time such as Strictly Rhythm, A.M/P.M.,
Subliminal, Soulfuric and Azuli.

However, it wasn't until at the age of 18 that he began to take it
seriously and invested in a pair of Technics to begin practising what
he'd heard his influences do and put his own spin on it. Within a year,
he had played his first gig in a club at 'Capital' (now known as Plug)
in his native Sheffield. Based on these early gigs his reputation grew
leading to more gigs with slots and residencies across clubs, bars and
parties throughout Sheffield and beyond, alongside some of the
established names in world house music.

Liam has never strayed from his U.S. house music influences. Over the
years, his vision of what a party should be has developed to a deeper,
more soulful sound inspired from DJ's and producers such as Miguel
Migs, Kerri Chandler, DJ Deep, Rasoul, Jay J, Joey Youngman, DJ Heather
and Mark Farina. Regarded by his peers as being technically and
structurally advanced, his skills are in demand all over the city and
his reputation as a consummate party starter and a skilful but
discerning spinner have earned him a loyal following. His sets are
built around strong melody, laidback soulful vibes and strong groove
filled records, full of the sense of community and the ethos that
attracted him in the first place, played with passion and never far
away from the West Coast and Chicago roots of house that continue to
inspire and motivate him.

Never one to push himself or his sound on any promoter or night, Liam
has gained his reputation and his loyal following by staying true to
his vision and sound, always realising that fashions come and go, never
shifting genres to keep with the latest trend but always sounding fresh
and new.

Liam's career so far has taken him to residencies and guest
appearances at nights and venues such as, Love2Be, Gatecrasher, Miss
Moneypennies, Twisted, All Points North, Deep Down, Therapy, Rise, The
Pin-Up Club (pre bar sessions), Secret Sessions, Maintain, Mono,
Phuture Boogie, Act Like Ya know, The Forum, Halcyon, Plug to name but
a few as well as outside the of Sheffield in cities such as Manchester
and overseas in Ibiza and the U.S.A.

With involvement and links with nights such as Phuture Boogie, Act
Like Ya Know alongside his own Delve Deeper night and with growing interest from various promoters in and out of Sheffield and Uk, the
future looks bright, and Penelopes is delighted to welcome him to our fold.

About Jenny Fu

Jenny’s love affair with music began over 10 years ago when she started clubbing from an early age. Listening to all types of dance music mainly Hardcore, Trance & House. This is when she recognised House as the genre that she wanted to devote more time to.

While working for Gatecrasher & Bed in 2002 and having the opportunity to watch top DJs in the mix. Jenny couldn't help but get the bug for DJing and convinced Rich to teach her how to mix.

Managing to successfully bag slots at Brother 2 Brother, Bedroom, Tequila, Takapuna & Nylon formally Matrix from 2003 to 2006. A break came in the form of a guest residency for Sheffield’s legendary Winston Hazel @ Felt, The Runaway Girl.

Throughout 2007, Jenny’s DJing has gone from strength to strength and this is reflected in the quality music she plays. Spinning deep and tribal, through to tough techy house with an added twisted disco and funky sound from UK to German labels; she is a consummate spinner. This has led to major recognition for Jenny who has recently been spotted by Urban Gorilla to play at one of their Sheffield’s leading nights. What’s to come? Who Knows??
