last few times I've been in there you can't get a cold glass of wine. I reckon we should have a whip round and buy them a fridge because they obviously haven't got one.
It's a shame but they have these wine bottles stood in ice in a ceramic sink - and the wine is barely below room temperature. That's ok for red, but for white?

I think we should leave it to them to buy their own fridge. It's only fair. + Red in ice???? I'm not much of a wine drinker but surely thats alll kind of wrong
1. You don`t go there to drink wine!
2. They have possibly the biggest fridge in Sheff! It`s full of continental beers!!

Young red wine (ie most that is sold in pubs / bars) is much better served slightly chilled than at room temperature.

I think we should buy them a cat as their name suggests.

If you follow that line of thought, maybe we should buy them a Duke and Duchess or a cream tea?

Ah, that's my poor English comprehension, I didn't mean they have red wine on ice. I meant it's ok to have red wine at room temperature, but not white.
Of course there are some exceptions - but none that I've found in the Dev. Cat.
I've heard that some red wines are nice chilled - last time I had a chilled red would have been in the heady days of youth when Lambrusco was the in thing to drink.
And I once knew a young Arabian lady who preferred her Barsac warm. But that's another story.
