Hello everyone! My son is 10 month old and Ive just discovered Im pregnant again :o

I have to admit its a little scary wondering how on earth Im going to cope with an 18 month old and a newborn! Im suffering from morning sickness and feel so tired all the time. I cant help but feel useless around my son because I cant do very much for him at the moment and he's such a bundle of energy!!

Would love to know if anyone else here has been in the same situation and how you coped with it :)

Congratulations !!

I have to say that my husband wants another baby as soon as possible, rachel is nearly 5 months old now (where has that gone ??)

I like the idea but I too wonder how I would cope. As my friend says, you just do. There will be less chance of any jealousy about the new baby though.

I had ds 1 and 2 just under 2 years apart. I must admit it was hard to start but as soon as we got a routine established we were fine

Congratulations :D I had 16 months between speedy 2 & 3, and then 9 days under a year between speedy 4 & 5! It's hard work, but you just get on with things, and manage. Make sure you get out plenty, toddler groups and so on, so you aren't just stuck with small people for company all the time. Adult conversation always makes me feel a bit more human when I've been around the kids all the time. Good luck!

i have a 19 month gap between my 2, my son is now 4 months old and his sister absolubtly adores him. The tail end of pregnancy was quite tiring but apart from that for me having 2 is no more difficult or stressfull. I was amazed how quickly he fitted in and also how easy it was second time around i am no where near as stressed. Only pit fall is that i have copius amounts of washing and it takes me even longer to leave the house to go anywhere. Congratulations and good luck.

I had 4 under 6 it was really hard work to start with but seemed to get easier with each one, I then went 11 years and had Littleboo. You will cope you get into a routine of your own and very soon you cant imagine it being any different.

Thanks all for your words of encouragement and well wishes! I dont think anything actually prepares you for the emotional and physical roller coaster ride of motherhood...but WOW, what a ride it is! I think all you experienced mothers are in agreement that its easier second time round. Makes me feel loads better. I will enjoy the experience now (well I will as soon as I get over the morning sickness..LOL!)

I had my two 15 months apart and too be totally honest it's not half as bad as I expected, though my first child was settled into a really good routine so that helped.
My sister in law to be had hers just 11 months apart!

You just kind of get on with things I suppose.

There is a week over two years between my eldest two and the only thing i found awkward was who to get in out of the car first - in and out of the house first etc etc etc!! That all comes with time and practice. I have found it lovely as they have grown up together - now 6 and 8 - My sisters are 7 and 10 years younger than me so I never had that close siblling bond like my girls have because of the age gap. Thats not to say that my girls dont argue because they do but they have someone to relate to rather than a second mother whixch was always my relationship with my much younger siblings!

Oh - congratulations and good luck to you too!

I have 19 month between babies 2 and 3 and 3 and 4, the hard part is the pregnancy. Once the baby comes and you have a good routine with baby numb 1 number 2 just fits in :)

And a very big CONGRATS!!
