Just a word of warning to anyone who may be tempted to rent a property from Norrow Estates Ltd (the sign with blue stripes) - DON'T. I've rented a house from them with my 4 mates for the past 3 years now, and ever since we moved in, there's been non-stop hassle, see, they've got this somewhat retarded odd-job man that they use to fix any and every repair, only problem being that he can't actually fix anything so resorts to using either sillicone gel or polyfiller. In the past 3 years, we've had a years worth of rain leaking into our front room, toilet, kitchen and now the attic, we've had black mould consistently in the bathroom (they said it was our fault for breathing and causing condensation!) loose locks on the front n back doors and basically everything in the house falling apart. So, I did what most people'd do and phoned them to complain, i did this several times and they always fobbed me off, then, just when it looked like they couldn't get any cakker, i called again, and was informed that the estate agent (let's call him Martin) was sick of talking to me and that if i didn't like it, should move out of the house.. so, the moral being - don't ever rent from Norrow Estates unless you want to be made to live in squalor and treated like a fool while they **** in your face (repeatedly)

Did you view this place before signing your agreement?

yup - the house looked fine when we moved in, they also assured us that all the outstanding work would be done straight away - needless to say, we're still waiting. When the Sheffield rains came in our first winter there, water started ******* into our kitchen, living room and toilet, they botched it about 7 times over the next year or so before finally gettin an actual roofer in to fix it - this seems to be a common pattern with them though, covering whatever the problem is with sillicone gel, and when that breaks, come back with more sillicone gel. We actually had a soil pipe leaking **** into our back yard for 6 months before they'd fix it, and even then it was only cos i kept on calling to remind them...
