I am having a limo for my 18th birthday, me and 8 mates, but as i dont know many bars and pubs around sheffield i need help on finding some, The limo takes us to around 2-3 pubs, in whcih we have 3 hours before it takes us onto Kingdom Nightclub, i would like a long-ish drive to each pub, to get use out of the limo, i was some lively bars/pubs, not ones what are full of old grannies(no offence!!), any suggestions??

With 3 hours to kill, why not take a drive into the Hope Valley - plenty of country pubs to sup in. You get maximum benefit from the use of the limo, before heading back to Sheffield to party in a night-club.

Have an enjoyable birthday MissGobby!

3 hours to kill why not go further afield try rotherham for one(then come to sheffield), if not west street and eccesall road best bet for lively places. and dont forget plenty of booze for the limo.

I've seen this limo outside Hanrahan's many a time and that is a good place to start (tis No Smoking though so bare that in mind).

Head up Ecclesall Road to the Psalter Tavern on Psalter Lane. It's really nice in there and their leather seats are great. Or come up to West 10 bistro in Ranmoor. Superb wines and champagnes and it feels a bit exclusive?

I think I'm showing my age here because I'm struggling for ideas! Whatever, you'll be filling up on the drink that's available in the car so needn't worry about where you're off to.

If the state of my Missus is anything to go by - she fell down the stairs getting into our house - I'm sure you'll have fun.

Hope so!

Can anybody tell me if the Empire Bar in Charter Square is still open? Organised for a party to meet their tomorrow but a neighbour told me it looked closed last weekend?

I think the first thing you should do is reconsider your decision of going to Kingdom. If you're wanting to avoid "Old Grannies" then I would give Kingdom a VERY wide berth.

Give Ecclesall Road a try before moving on to Bar Matrix. Then roll on down to Republic for a top 18th Birthday!!

Enjoy!!!

I like Kingdom and thats the place that the Limo takes up anyway, i dont have a choice in the nightclub, only the pubs beforehand.

Hi Miss Gobby,
My personal favourites are Bar Matrix, Crystal Bar (really nice for special occasions, a tad expensive but classy and yummy cocktails), Tequila bar - great for cheap cocktails. I am a big fan of the York in Broomhill - it may not be a bar but it has a really warm atmosphere. Forum is also good and has plenty of fit men!
I hope you and your mates have a great evening, I got a limo for my 18th and had a fab time.

It must be great for a limo driver trying yo park around town :D

I suggest that you start at Hanrahans or The Place in Broomhill. Both airy bar/pubs.

The go into town on Division street to The Forum.

On from there to Ecclesall Road and into Varsity

and then on to Mingdom.:)

Just get in the queue behind the other 24 Limo's, hired Hummers, Rent-a-Fire Engines and other large vehicles on West St, trying to park in front of the trams, whilst the police riot vans and ambulances zoom along to Blingdom to pull Sharon & Tracy apart after having a row about how Sharons Blokes been eyeing Tracey up all night (them earings don't half leave a mess)

Have a cracking bumfunday :D
