It appears we've been either turned down or forgotten about for crossroads support as we applied in march and someone told me today it hadnt gone to panel!
I'm soooooo cross, its just one more thing on the list. We've been refused direct payments, any help from sure start, and basically anything that might just help me keep sane.
I know someone who has a child with a few behavior problems, now I realise this is extremely hard to deal with and wouldnt deny anyone help, but because the mum is basically a mouthy peice and doesnt hesitate to swear enough to turn the air blue she gets respite and support falling out of the sky, people can't do enough for her.
My son is severely disabled, he can't do anything for himself, I'm lifting him with no special equipment and have even been refused a moving and handling course to ensure I'm doing it properly, even though I have a known back problem and have received physiotherapy for this.
It seems if you aspire to be a decent, polite human being with respect for the fact that funding is tight, then you arent worthy of any help.
