Just wondering as this is an area that I am interested in. Is there a need for more child minders who can offer early years educational development aswell as child care?

Let me know your thoughts?

From what I over hear mothers discussing at the baby clinics there certainly is in The South West area of Sheffield.

So if this is a venture you are looking into - sounds viable and interesting. Good luck.

I thought that under new ofsted guidelines, childminders were supposed to provide foundation skills education as part of their care in order to be registered?

There is certainly a great need for more professional early years child minders. I deliver early years education in the south west of the city and am always extremely busy. If you need any further information please feel free to pm me. I can give you all the details you will need.
