Well, lets just hope she dosen't end up sat silent at the comedy comedy, but finds herself laughing like a drain latter, when you're doing you 'thing' :hihi: That's never good.

Actully the comedy club at Takapuna is really good, make sure you get your partner to go up on stage and take part in the "Yes/No" game when it comes round.

I've been once and really enjoyed it. Although I can't remember any of the acts names which is a bit crap of me!

It's quite different from the Lescar which gets very hot and smoky (which kind of contributes to the atmosphere, but it was a bit too smoky for me!). Takapuna's air con sorts that out.

The smoke at the Lescar is a real pain. They've promised me that air con is going in this summer, so here's hoping!

The Last Laugh is going to have Big Weekends of Comedy every month at The Memorial Hall when it re-opens, which should be nice. Top acts, without the smoke.

This is just a post to say sorry to the Comedian who was on stage last week in Takapuna.

I didn't realise what consequences might follow when I replyed to you as I was leaving. I'm truly sorry for messing your act up and making you look silly in front of all those people. I was drunk at the time and I only found out about what happened a few days ago.

Please forgive me. :(

It was me who said "ya mums" when asked where I was going by the man on stage at the time. You may or may not remember, I certainly didn't untill a few days later I was informed I messed up his routine.

most good comediens can cope with hecklers and since he tried to draw you into his act then he should of been prepared for any response so you shouldnt be apologising!

savbaby is right; if he involved you in the act, he has to take what you give him back.

I remember a few years ago, I was in a small comedy club, and there was a lady comedian on who was quite large. She was picking on anyone that got up to go to the bar, or walked past her to go to the loo. I was dying for a wee, but knew I was gonna get abused, because my outfit was quite avant-garde. As I passed by, she said 'Bluddie hell, did Stevie Wonder pick that shirt out for you'? Much amusement from crowd. With all the dignity I could muster, I turned to face her and said loudly 'It's called fashion sweetheart, you don't find it in Evans'. Cue uproar from crowd.

The point of the story was that after the act, she made a bee-line for me, and said she thought what I'd said was dead funny, and had a drink with me. Don't worry J, I'm sure this guy has had worse abuse before!

Withdraw the apology J, if he drew you into some repartee and couldn't handle it then that's his problem not yours. :D
