I would have thought thay must have a headphone socket; I've got an old-style GBA, and that certainly has a headphone socket!

No, there isnt a headphone socket for the GBA:SP. and it was highly publicised when first launched. You can get an adapter to convert the power socket into a headphone socket and you can fine these at most online computer games stores. One that I would reccomend giving a try would be www.specialreserve.com this is an amasing website that you can find almost anything high tech, the biggest problem whith this store however is that it can be a little tedious to navigate at first. another store would be www.gameplay.co.uk both will be able to offer you what you want. If not, then you could check on eBay.
