Well, Im getting married this september and my question is just that, to tan or not to tan? I am naturally very light skinned and can look ill at times, so I was thinking of maybe getting a spray tan for the big day. Thing is, I'm worried of how it will look, if I will have a bad reaction blah blah blah. I don't want to get on the sun bed as it's extremly bad for you so a spray one is my only answer!

Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks all

Why not have a trial run beforehand, as you would with hair and makeup? That way you can see how it'll look, make sure you won't have a reaction, and you can decide how many layers to go for etc so it won't be such a shock on the big day!
Helena at My Urban Beauty (.co.uk) is great, I'd thoroughly recommend her for tanning, waxing, manicure, pedicure etc.

I feel the same hun! I'm very pale and have never had a fake tan in my life, I won't use sunbeds. I wasn't going to bother but my best mate is already talking about the tan she's going to get, so I'm kind of being forced into it, as I'd look really washed out otherwise!
I think it'll look daft in december though, everybody else will be pale!

I am not using fake tan as I sometimes use it when I go out either st tropez or fake bake and it does rub off on your clothes.I dont want it on my wedding dress.I am not pale like you guys so I probably won't bother.Try a spray tan trial and wear a light colour and see how you go.

I got married abroad, so made sure that I had a week there first to get a bit of a tan.
I think a slight glow looks good so you've got some colour to contrast against the dress.

The problem with a spray tan is that they look so false and often quite ORANGE.
There are products which give you a holiday glow which build up over a period of time which may be worth considering.

I used the moisturiser with little tan in them - I used Laboratoire ganiere fruit one in a yellow bottle for fair skin and it was good, remember to use small amounts and build up gradually. I used it every other night and didnt the night before the wedding so i had a slight glow but there wasnt the smell or the potential tale tale rub off onto my dress. It worked really well and I felt alot better for it, because my sister is addicted tosun beds and had a brown/orange face to prove it!. to be honest i prefered being paler and more interesting as i dont think a bride is meant to look too tanned!
