can anyone remember or has heard of a street in old attercliffe that existed some years ago.
i think it was called Eububy street.

i am looking for a street that used to be in old attercliffe.it was called Eubury Street.mymother lived there many years ago and i am curious to know where it was. thanks

I seem to recall the name 'Eubery/Eubury Street' on a sign somewhere; perhaps it still exists around the semi-derelict/industrial areas, some of which merge into light industrial unit developments, such as near the Don Valley Bowl/Newhall Road areas.

Was going to suggest you look on www.picturesheffield.com for some old pics of the area but couldn't find the street myself.

Is that the correct spelling, do you know of any other nearby road/street names so you can find it that way on a map.

Ebury St. ran between Newhall Rd. and Clay St., according to my 1926 map.

Yes it was exactly as described in the above posts. I lived on Newhall Road...directly opposite Norman St...I remember Gladys Griffiths and a Pat Milnes on Ebury Street back in the 50's.

My late wife lived on Liverpool St, I remember her mentioning Ebury St,I have a 67 68 edition Street guide,it says 189 Newhall road
