July's edition of The Wagon's Wheels offers an eclectic mix with a little something for fans of all things Indie, Acoustic & Alt-Country. It's another fine 3 act line up for which doors will open at 8pm and entry will be just £3.

***THE OLD WHORES OF SAN PEDRO***

Local five piece The Old Whores Of San Pedro have been together for almost 2 and a half years. In 2007 they headlined Sheffield's Moral Panic Festival. They take influence from the likes of Lucinda Williams, Josh Ritter, and Billy Bragg, adding a distinctive edge to the tunes of your bog standard indie bands.

***THE ELECTRIC TAPE RECORDER***

Having undertaken a nomadic existence that's seen it travel around The North, the 'lo-fi version of a human being' that is The Electric Tape Recorder has recently settled in Sheffield. Recent EP 'A Circus By The Sea', which draws heavily on the darker moments of bands like Eels, will in part form the basis of the forthcoming new album. September will also see E.T.R. make it's way to the End Of The Road Festival.

"Haunting vocals laid over an acoustic guitar make for a distinctive sound that allows E.T.R to stand out amongst the numerous singer/songwriters out there." www.squareindie.co.uk

***WARREN GASKELL***

Manchester's Warren Gaskell is currently busy working on his new album. He's going to have to go some to beat the last one. 'A Pair Of Horses' has received widespread acclaim from reviewers and listeners alike. It's classic singer/songwriter material. Inevitable comparisons have been made to the likes of Neil Young and Ryan Adams. That the quality of the album can stand up to that is also no surprise.

"Classic alt.country confessional songwriting with a downbeat ambient, acoustic sentiment." CD Baby

"This is a superior slice of songwriting and playing." 8/10 Americana-UK.com
