Now that Roneys is temporarily out of business does anybody know of a decent buchers where I can go to get my chicken breasts.

I tried the "Real Meat Company" on Ecclesall Road but that is far too expensive for me.

I'd like to buy free range meat but preferably at a similar price to Roneys £8/Kg as opposed to the £22.95/Kg charged by Real Meat Company's organic free range.

Any suggestions?

I wandered up Gleadless Road and popped into the buthers just down from the post office to be told: "People around here won't buy free range, not a chance"

Please Help.

If you've got transport, or fancy a walk out into Rivelin then try Coppice House Farm

Bridge Farm Shop on that road I can never remember the name of - the one that goes off from Carterknowle Road at the Cherry Tree pub. Or Liberty Farm shop on Baslow Road.

We use the butchers in crookes, far end near bole hill chippy.. unsure of name, he stocks high welfare, but not free range.. from local sources. No antibiotic feed etc.. flavour is great.
