I'm hoping some of you amazing photographers might be able to help me with a really annoying problem I've got.
I recently inherited a Canon 300D DSLR, which is brilliant and which I've been practising with ever since. Whilst I feel my technique is gradually getting better I still feel like a novice and no matter how many times I open up the camera and clean every bit meticulously, I cant seem to get this 'mark' off my photo's!!!
I know it's easily edited out in Photoshop but it takes far too much time to edit it out of each photo! Argh.

I include an example photo (http://www.flickr.com/photos/10950676@N08/2661750140/sizes/l/), where the mark is very noticeable in the middle of the picture, slightly towards the top.
It almost looks like a water mark or something!

Any help would be gratefully received!

yup, the dreaded dust bunnies. you can either diy cleaning or send in to authorised canon service center for cleaning. local camera shop do provide this service at a charge.

Is that Canon guys or sensor spots ? :P

I always use Fixation for my cleaning - taking my bodies down when I go to London. Only problems are (a) the hot receptionist, (b) the even hotter girls on the desk where you hand your body in for cleaning and (c) the extensive second hand shop they have :P The 20 minutes or so waiting for the cleaning on a cropped sensor just fly by :)

Their website is here :

http://www.fixationuk.com/Fixation/Repairs.html

Scroll down the page and you'll find the sensor cleaning section and guide that they have explaining how to DIY

Thanks guys...you've taught me a lot of stuff I didnt know!

I gave my blower bulb a try and it looks like it's worked to a decent standard.

Thank you!!

I use one of these to remove dust from my DSLR sensor. They work a treat and can be picked up for around £6 - £7.

that's what i need to invest in, i have one of them but it's got a very soft brush on the end. The brush kind of stops full blowing power to the spot you want and it blows everywhere.
