my oh's ps3 has crashed and wont come back on, has anyone any idea why this might have happened, and will he need it repairing? :thumbsup:

Sounds like its either overheated or the CPU's gone for a crap.. or both.

If it won't turn back on then I would imagine it would need repairing... Or was this a trick question?

you should swap it with a 360 you dont get any problems with them what so ever :hihi:

in fact microsoft come round on the first of every month and valet the room your 360 is in, just to ensure nothing untoward ever happens to it.
plus it makes cups of tea.

Make sure they send you a brand new one. they sent me a replacement but reconditioned PS3 and it was a right mess! Grease marks all over it, the back was cracked, the shiny plastic looked as if someone had gone mental with a scourer and it stank of ciggies! Told them to come and pick it back up from my house and get a brand new one to me!

After a hell of an argument with the supervisor, he agreed.

Glad to see you got your PS3 sorted .. just one question ... did u install the 2.40 Firmware Update before it crashed ..? I ask because the 2.40 FW has killed a lot of machines ... but they have now released a 2.41 FW Update which is sound ... i was lucky that i got 2.40 and only problem i had was my Avatar went missing .. but now its back with the new Update ..
