After 3 years of logging on, and various computer chairs, I was so fed up of neck ache, back ache, and cramp in my calves, that I finally decided to " stand up to my computer".!!! I put a stool on my desk and my lap top on the stool, , and actually stand up to my computer. No pain at all anywhere. Keep bending my knees every so often of course, but fantastic. I actuall saw a "work station" in MFI the other day, with the computer at eye level, and no stool or chair.!

I doubt if I could keep it up, if I was on a computer all day ,say an IT worker !!:hihi::hihi:But I can wander around the room & flex my limbs now and again!:D

Re back ache,

For the past 18 months I have done the same as you. I have my computer monitor fixed to a wall at stand up eye level and a desk under it for the keyboard and mouse. I also have a second monitor on a conventional computer desk with the cables from both monitors connected to a switch box so I can sit down or stand up as needed. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse so moving from one monitor to the other is no hassle.

If you have the moneys, proper furniture places can provide you with a work table - on hydraulics! So if you feel like working standing up you can and when your tired you can sit down :)
