I have an aloe vera plant that is growing so fast I'm sure one day it'll fill the room it's in. It was so small 18 months ago!
Now, I'm no gardener, but am aware they can go outside. Does anyone know the best time of year to do this - is it too early to move it? Any advice will be helpful!
You need to wait until there is no danger of frost, I'd say the end of May.

I've put mine outside already. They can cope with a bit of frost. But it's up to you.
Don't forget to treat it to a bigger home if necessary - and I mean the pot it's in, not a new house for you:P
They will not stand much frost so err on the side of caution or you will get a rather untidy plant with frost damage. Normally they should not go below about 4 degrees C.
They can easily be restarted from offsets. If you cut off the offsets which form around the base (or further up) and pot them up they will grow into another plant.

You should just put it out side, seems to me if its too big for the house it has 2 chances, it either lives outside or doesn't.
