Hi,

I'm starting my 2nd year of a 4 year Planning and Transport masters degree in September - however, I want to achieve as much as I can in addition to my degree before I complete my course.

Are there any Planning professionals or other students on here (or even those in similar areas such as Regeneration), who may be able to give me advice on what employers will be looking for besides a degree?

I am eager to get as much experience as possible over the next 3 years, and I am already thinking about applying soon for summer placements at various different organisations. Any advice on the best ones to apply for?

Are there any other courses or qualifications which I could attain without spending large sums of money on courses, which would set me above other applicants when it comes to getting a job?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
