Just for information really,

I was wanting to have my 2 cats spayed, so I contacted my vet and nearly passed out when I was told it was £55.00 per cat!! I thought that this was a bit OTT so had a call round, was recommened Spires Vets in Chesterfield by a few people. I called them up, price was £26.00 per cat, so cheaper to have both done than one at my local vet!

I was dubious though, ie getting what you pay for, but I trusted the people who recommended them. Infact, both the cats were "done" yesterday, both are fine and we received good service from the nurses and vets, I was really happy.

I would recommend them to others in the future.

The surgery was actually packed with a queue of about 25 people when we arrived at 8:50am, when we collected the cats the waiting room was full and people were waiting outside! They seem very popular!

They're extremely popular, because of their cheaper costs. The only "down side" with them, is that they don't run an appointment system so you have to be prepared to wait. and wait. and wait. lol. Thats fine, unless you have a dog who hates other dogs. I've seen people have to leave their do in the car until their turn comes up, and then have to drag them, kicking and snarling past other dogs. Other than the wait though, they're great, I've used them a lot with all my animals.
