I am no expert at all. My neighbour has a problem in microsof works word processor.
When she types, the letters are merged and no spaces appear. It isn't the font and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the disk. The same happens.
Is it a known problem? how can I fix it? Shall I install my disk on her pc?

Sorry, couldn't resist it.

Does the same problem manifest itself when using the simpler Wordpad which ships with Windows?
If not, then try looking around Word's settings for proportional fonts - or something.
You could also try OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org) which is a freeware (GPL) office suite capable of loading & saving in .DOC (word) format.</sensible head>

Get rid of Microsoft Works, it is by far the worst word processor that i have been unfortunate enough to use. There are many free word processors available to download, if you cannot get microsoft word (the best that i have used)
One programme is abisource. http://www.abisource.com/
and another is as reccomended above, open scource. I have not been able to use this, however i am pretty sure that it is the same programme that was shown on the gadget show as the best free word processor when compared to word.
OpenOffice rocks big time. download it ow, you won't regret it. The latest version is extremely highly regarded in the IT industry, and quite a few are recommending it over full blown MS Office.

if i hadn't got MS Office 2003 (the whole shebang) I would probably go for it
