Nice! The first is a fantastic shot... it really captures the moment.

What gear were you using?

Hi Hook,

thanks for the comment, i was using a Nikon D80 (wonderful camera) and a sigma 170-500mm f/5-6.3 DG ASPHERICAL RF lens which for the money is a great piece of glass.

I also use paint shop pro to sort out the images.

If you mean me, it meant I was going to ask the same questions ie what lens etc.
I thought you're pictures were excellent, with the amount of detail I realised you must have used a decent lens.No ulterior motive.

Thanx matsalleh,

Its a great lens for the price 300-500 quid depending on where you go.
allows me to use it for loads of different things. It struggles a bit in low light.
But still compared with other 500mm lens its cheap for the quality.

Cheers
Rob

Hi Tracey...

Thats a great shot... a nice wide angle.
It was a great day, had taken my full waterproof outfit so was able to brave the worst of the weather. I got some decent pictures of the reds... there display was very impressive given the conditions dropping very low on the turns to keep them out of the worst of it.

I've got nearly 700 images from the day, if theres any display anyone wants to see images from i'l see what i can do.

Nice to hear from you again Tracey

Best Wishes
Rob
