Please consider one from rescue - there are so many beautiful GSD's in kennels. Here's the link www.germanshepherdrescue.co.uk

There are a couple available locally at the moment

you'll find them on www.rainrescue.co.uk - look at the Rotherham dogs and the Sheffield dogs

I walked two very well behaved dogs from the Rotherham section

Please do thing about GSD rescue on the above link given by speedDemon, I do home checks for rescue in this area and can point you in the direction of some really happy people who have gsds from the rescue. Not all rescues are in kennels because of bad behaviour, some go in through their owners moving and being unable to take them or other personal or health related issues. Please pm me if you would like me to come and see you.

Either the gsd rescue or the rainrescue will be helping a dog have a good forever home and that would be brilliant.

Sabre sounds like she may be suitable for you - which we have in with us at the moment.

http://www.rainrescue.co.uk/rotherham.htm

She has a lovely friendly temprament - and is currently in kennels. She was sharing a kennel with Tsar until this weekend, when he was re homed to a lovely family.

I have had her vet checked, as she came out with mastitis. She will be spayed paid for by Rain Rescue. Please give her a chance of a nice home.

there are a few threads on this bit already

don't go to her when she cries or she'll do it all the more - wait until she's quiet

you're not doing anything daft like leaving her a light on are you?

throwing a blanket over the crate will make her feel more secure

Always put her to bed at the same time and get her up at the same time

My mum used a furry Gillet (bought from carboot) with a ticking clock in the pocket for Cloud, he thought it was his mum.
