Only ever had take-away as every time I've tried eating in I've not bothered booking which is a mistake as it's always packed! Very nice food, not too heavy or greasy, and very well spiced/flavoured. I always opt for the Nile Indira - it's a spicy fish curry; very tasty and highly recommended. Kthebean 07-07-2008, 07:45 I liked it there, we went with a party of 14 and they were very attentive and the food was lovely. We ended up leaving a big tip and I would recommend it. Also very good is Anbars on Ecclesall Road (past the roundabout, across the road from Somerfields) redsquirrel 07-07-2008, 08:51 I agree, it's very good! Service is great, the food is lovely and - when I've been, which is generally midweek - the atmosphere has been really nice, not chaotically busy or noisy but never 'too quiet' either. Would definitely recommend it. Merry_Legs 07-07-2008, 08:53 Been a few times but much prefered the food when it was Elinas. The decor and the staff are lovely but the food seems a bit blander. ellielambert 07-07-2008, 10:42 I like Mogul Rooms a lot, I think the service is friendly and they have a good range of dishes. My favourite Indian is Aagah in Leopold Square though as they have a wonderful selection of dishes, absolutely beautiful :) Mr Doctor 07-07-2008, 14:27 Only been once, but went with a small group of people, and it was really excellent. If you live in the Walkley area, then Royal Spice is of equal quality, and also worth trying. dana3 30-01-2011, 17:51 Went to the Moghul Room for dinner last night with OH and parents - absolutely fantastic. Best curry in Sheffield by a mile and a great atmosphere. Staff could not do enough for us, friendly, attentive and helpful. Can't wait to return! wednesday1 30-01-2011, 18:19 I like Mogul Rooms a lot, I think the service is friendly and they have a good range of dishes. Like Moghul Room too though. mr.blaze 30-01-2011, 21:37 I went a few weeks ago and my food was terrible, the lamb was dry and chewy and the sauce was flavourless and overcooked. Won't be going there again. bornwinner 30-01-2011, 22:25 love it, mine and the good ladies restaurant of choice. moving out of hunters bar means its more of a special occasion place rather than our once a week meal out!! watchcoll 31-01-2011, 14:38 Been a few times but much prefered the food when it was Elinas. The decor and the staff are lovely but the food seems a bit blander. i prefered the food when it was elinas. it was more authentic ( im pakistani and grew up eating nothnig but indian food). but i never went back after going once with some friends and finding an ant crawling about in the poppadom dish :gag: i still think its a better place now its the mogul rooms, much better decor and staffing. its one of my 'treats' every now and again to go there. (i still think the best indian food comes out of the kitchen at my mums house though :hihi: ) mogwai84 31-01-2011, 22:45 Best curry I've had in sheffield platts 01-02-2011, 10:26 yes excellent Indian - highly recommended!! |
