You don't need a user name on the PS2, once the router is setup the PS2 should sort itself out and automatically pick up the details from the router.

How exactly are you trying to do this, something sounds wrong. The router should be set up with the details before being plugged into the PS2.

umm can u offer any more help here? such as where u are trying to enter your user name?
