View Full Version : I've Won the Lottery!!!
Ok - so it was only a tenner!! Bet you were all ready with your requests. :hihi:
Anyway if you did win the Big One and you had done all the obvious Family - Friends - Charities - Car - House - Boat - Plane sketch. What thing would you love to experience or own?
My bloke would love to go into Space and walk on the Moon, one of my girls would love to swim with Dolphins.
I would love to have a complete body overhaul and hire a personal trainer to make me use my excercise bike which is currently diguised as a towel rack! I would have a written contract that if I did not stick to his fitness regime I would have to give a large amount of money to my ex! Something I do not ever want to do!
I would also like to see the 7 Wonders of the World don't know what they are but they must be good! Except for Great wall of China I mean come on - a walls a wall.
Remember - you have done the usual stuff so this is money allocated purely for you. Give me some ideas just incase I do win Big.
graceomally 17-04-2005, 11:32 I'd buy my age P's a bungalow down the road and pay for all the nursing and care they need so I could see them every day and be sure they were ok.
Then I'd buy a little farm, not too far from town. Then I'd .... probably settle down to grow tomatoes and beans and wait for grandchildren....
I'm crap at spending money! When I first got a wage packet all I could muster up was 50p for a new pencil case. I'm getting better at it, but its hard work, so used to making money last.
If I went wild, I'd probably go on holiday to Prague with hubby and without sproggs. Maybe I'd send sproggs to Prague and stay in bed with hubby instead, much better!
StarSparkle 17-04-2005, 12:06 Lovely thread, Dawny1, and congratulations on your win! :P
I'd treat myself to a painting by Paul Simonon of the Clash - I read that Nicky Wire's wife once bought him a piece of Paul's artwork for his birthday, and I thought what a FABULOUS present for a Clash fan
I'd also visit Macchu Picchu in Peru - I've been fascinated by it since I first saw a photo of it. I remember sitting there, just staring for ages at this beautiful image, and couldn't tear my eyes away from it. I love beauty!
If I won enough money, I'd love to finance/part-finance an independent British film - I like the thought of helping to create a little piece of eternity. :)

Not only do you not deserve to see ANY of the seven wonders of the world. You should also be banned from winning anything more than a tenner; if only to stop someone like you from turning up at the great wall of China and showing up the entire English speaking world with your lame comments about shoddy brick work and the fact that 'a bit of stone cladding' wouldn't go a miss!!
Dawny
I know you might think this is a bit cheeky------but since you've won all that money on the lottery , do you think I could borrow a fiver till Giro day ?
It is in a good cause. If you are able to help , please send it

What's the matter? Did I say something wrong ? No need to use language like that !

I said nothing about Shoddy Brickwork or Stone Cladding! Each to their own - we are not all interested in the same thing and don't have to be!
I would love to see the Pyramids but sorry I am not interested in seeing The Great Wall of China!!!
Neither I am interested in seeing you on your HIGH HORSE!!

cgksheff 17-04-2005, 16:43 My biggest worry was "What to do about the 'begging letters'"?
After a bit of thought, we decided to continue sending them!! :D
Oh, the old ones are the best!!

Purchase a collection of rare & beautiful & fast cars and build my own race track to drive 'em on.
Oh, and a warm 'winter' retreat (from say Oct to Mar) with it's own private golf course would be nice.
And a private jet (that I've learnt to fly) so I can flit between continents on a whim.
And a High Roller suite at the new Steve Wynn hotel in Vegas (http://www.wynnlasvegas.com/ dial up beware) for a month with £1m in chips.

Oh very classy!!:gag: (while i'm still on my high horse) Dawny the pyramids in Las Vegas are not one of the seven wonders of the world - you did know that didn't you?
There is a valley of the kings (kings valley) in stockport just behind mersey way. They're made out of steel and glass but if you sguint your eyes a little you would never know the difference!

Oh Dear you are looking silly - I didn't say anything about Pyramids in Las Vegas the quote you have highlighted was by Ginner!!! :loopy:
This from someone who on the Entertainment section wants to shoot celebritys with an AK47:loopy:
Maybe the next time you are visiting the Great Wall of China you would like to line them against that.!!!
I must thank you though for making me feel like a true member of the Forum Family - I wondered how long it would be before someone had a pop at me!

racist!
I really have no idea where you are coming from - maybe someone else can explain your attitiude because I am truly baffled at that last comment which I am extremely offended by, unless you have some weird sense of humour that I don't get and you are joking.
Anyway as I don't want this thread closed down because you have a problem with my post and choose to start an argument with me I suggest we agree to have our own opinions and be entitled to them.

I don't have a problem with your post - it's just that my dad built the great wall of china with his bare hands:(
I won around 2 and a half grand in October [5 numbers on lotto] and blew most of it on a 14 night trip to Vegas [my third one so far]. Stayed in the Sahara; walked past Wynn Las Vegas construction site daily. Looks very nice ! Need another lotto win methinks...
Currently saving up for fully escorted tour of egypt - if I went alone there'd be no way I'd ever get my arse to all these places :

May need a holiday to recover afterwards though :P

My answer - I would have the finest women laid around on a big pile of sweets while cartoons would be shown on football stadium size tv screens.
I told you i was a class act:thumbsup:

If you won me, I would hope that my hundreds could afford a trip to Prague. But you may have to wait a few weeks whilst I save up me pennies!
