I am going to see Glasvegas in Doncaster next week. They are playing at the Leopard. Does anybody know this pub, where it is and how to get there?

According to this it's in Bentley which does have a train station(North Donny). Sounds a cracking little venue to be honest, they had the displacements there last month who are also great... will keep an eye on that. Enjoy Glasvegas!

Thanks Edna, really looking forward to it. Better start planning how to get there. Just looked again, it opposite the train station, how fab. What time did the displacements come on?

It's not in Bentley - please don't get off there train there (there is a stop) as you'll have quite a walk! Get off the train at Doncaster's main station, cross the road in front of it and head slightly up to the right and you can't miss it.

A lot of people we know said it was ****e to be honest (and we love some of their stuff so that's a shame really).

This was really disapointing. The two support bands were excellent. The first band from Doncaster (didn't get there name) were fab. Trad four piece, but played their heart out with some great tunes. The second band were absolultely amazing - Out from Animals - great performance and great songs. But Glasvegas....they were disapointing, or should I say James the lead singer was shockingly bad. The sound and music was excellent, ephemeral and loud; but the lead singer was f****d and couldn't hit a note. They played five or maybe six shortish songs.... this was such a shame, as their first single was great and I was hoping for so much more.
Maybe they thought they were bigger than the venue.....
The Leopard is a great venue, old and run down with a great juke box downstairs...the sound and space upstairs is fantastic and the staff were brilliant. I really wouldn't mind seeing more bands here.
