Hi,
I have just started property managing for my landlord and we are looking for a good plumber and electrician. The plumber must be corgi registerered.
If anyone knows anyone and can let me know about any prices then that would be great!!
This would be a good oppertunity for someone as my landlord has lots of properties and the right people will get lots of work.

We need a bathroom refitting and tiling before the end of July so anyone who is available now is great!

Thanks

Why would you need a Corgi registered plumber for a bathroom refit? Non-Corgi plumbers will be able to do that job and be considerably cheaper!

I'm doing a lot of work with 2 plumbers at the moment, one of whom is Corgi, the other specialises in bathroom renovations.
We couldnt do the bathroom in the timescale you specify but could do something in the near future.

bit off topic, but my flat in the PRS had not been corgi checked by my landlord, etc for over 3 years, isn't that illegal?

http://www.trustcorgi.com/faqs/home.htmx

there is a paragraph for landlords here.. if there is an accident and the landlord is shown to be at fault .. there will be a custodial sentence and large fine..

gas appliances are to be checked every 12 months .. servicing is at the engineers discretion, maintenance to gas appliances is extra responsibility the annual check.
even though it has been checked maintaining the appliances is also very important.

if there is an accident and the landlord has seen to do everything in his power it then goes down to the engineer and he is shown to be at fault. :(

Thanks so much everyone!
Basically the work that needs to be done is a complete bathroom re-fit (within the next 3 weeks) (the landlord will be buying the suite and the tiles and grout etc) with full tiling, maybe some skimming and maybe tiled flooring with underfloor heating.
Basically we need people who can do odd jobs every now and again as they crop up.
EG- gas safety certs, odd jobs and people that can be relied upon, that we can bulid a good prof relationship with and who are fairly priced!
If anyone is available to come and do a quote on Monday please give me a call-

Hi, basically for gas certs and we want someone who we can build a relationship with and not just use as a one off. After all time is money and I don't want to have to do this all over again when it comes to the next new tenants moving in!
Thanks for the tip though!!

nothing in the short term, a bathroom full refurbishment can be anything up to a 3 month wait due to the time it takes to slot in. it usually ties an engineer up for anything up to 10 days,
most of my bathroom refurbish work is done by a company i bring in http://www.fytc.co.uk/
absolutely out standing workmanship and second to none.
there are plumbers and there are bathroom fitters.. i prefer to get the right trade in for the right job. anything less is not acceptable. i am afraid. :)
