All of them!

It's just because our country is small compared to others- such as the U.S.

Aqualung. Had a date at Plug last year but it got cancelled due to being dropped by British record company.

Brand New Heavies - lots of American tours but not Britain.

Aretha Franklin ;) Go on love, a little plane ride won't hurt you!

I'll second Aqualung and add Tool.

I think I've seen Tool twice in two years! I wouldn't say no to seeing them again though.

Pearl Jam, I saw them on the Binaural tour, the one where every one of the gig recordings was officially released. I've got Mike McCready's pick from that gig in Manchester. I don't think they've been since.

Sunn0))) for me and Metallica. They used to tour England properly all the time. Now it's just festivals and London.

And a lesser know band called Zeke.

And Sigur Ros!

And My Bloody Valentine. They played in Manchester the other night, but both nights at Apollo sold out really quick.

Seconded (well....by just about everyone on this forum!)

It's always puzzled me why Sheffield never seems to be on tour circuits.

It's just as bad here in Scotland.... I live in the capital city, yet would have to go through to Glasgow to see most bands, or travel to England !!

When i lived in Sheffield, i'd travel to Manchester/Notts/London to see bands, but as soon as i left, the Carling Academy opened ! So i'm thinking a lot more bands may start playing there...?

More NME overhyped bands, yes.

I agree with that also.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers!
and loads of American bands from the punk scene, although I don't think they come here much as it costs so much and the music I like has a bigger following in America.

Biffy Clyro have played every toilet in the UK. They played the Octagon last November. For this reason, I'm glad they're now doing well. A vey hard working band. I've seen them play Sheffield a number of times.

Me too. They are brilliant live. Or they were, Trent's sacked all the band that played on the last tour. I'm sure they'll still be very good. He will only accept the best from his staff.

Last time I saw them on their own tour, Ladytron supported them. They are well worth seeing and are supporting Interpol on Wednesday at the Academy. They also have their own headline set at the Academy in November.

I diddn't know that. I've only like them for a few weeks, coz I got their album ' Puzzle' then went on to get ' Infinity Land ' and ' Vertigo of Bliss' . Yeah, they rock!:D

I've been waiting for Buckethead to come back to the UK since seeing him play with GnR at Leeds festival back in 02.

Would like NIN to do a "proper" tour, not just a one of show, that tickets sell out within 10 mins then appear on ebay for crazy prices.

A John Frusciante solo tour would be awesome too.

Ditto, was at the same gig! They have played but only one small gig in London and Leeds/Reading last year, yet in the US there's a Who event with The Who, Pearl Jam, Incubus and various others....that sort of thing never happens here :(
