Family Fun Day - 13 July 2008

A Family Fun Day is to take place at Niagara Police Sports and Social Club, Penistone Road North, Sheffield, on Sunday 13 July 2008, in support of Sheffield Children's Hospital. Gates open 11.00 am.

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue are working in conjunction with South Yorkshire Police for this event and have a number of Fire Service displays on the day.

Attractions will include:

• Fun fair
• BBQ / Food stalls
• Beer Tent
• Fundraising for the Fire Fighters Charity
• A Community Safety stall
• The technical rescue section will be demonstrating their skills
• Police Dogs
• Police Horses
• Chip pan unit and displays
• Attendance by a fire engine / water rescue
• A number of various other art / craft stalls

Entry to this event is FREE, so come along and bring the family!!

But fairs do increase the crime in an area, allegedly, so it's a good idea IMO.

As well as the above, there will also be six Live Bands, Motor Show (new and Classic cars), Climbing Wall, Laser Quest, Army display and animals from Heeley City Farm.

I was going to go to the fun day last year and forgot all about it. For some reason all the fun days seem to be around the same time in Sheffield.

Buses 66, 77 or any that go up Halifax Road to Parsons Cross, Foxhill, High Green etc.

Get off at Carphone Warehouse/Claywheels Lane stop just past Leppings Lane roundabout.

can also get tram to middlewood and walk down past lepping lane (get off at middlewood shops)

is there a time for it finishing as some dont get home till 4 in the morning. so cant see me seeing 11am lol.

Harrods will be doing the outside food - burgers etc.
