I'm pretty used to getting rejections to job applications by now but this has got to be the quickest rejection ever.
I applied online for a job with natinwide. I comleted the application last night at about 10pm and at 8am this morning received an email saying I hadn't been shortlisted.
The email also said I my application had been "carefully considered" :loopy:

Tbh you have had a lucky escape. I worked there as a temp for 2 months and it was possibly the worst job ever!!

Pretty insane turn around time considering that it was all done outside office hours! Grats on not working for Nationwide - think it'd be better not getting short listed than getting the job

Ive sent off an online application today, so I probably get a response in the morning. Whats the job and place like?

Is it for the 'contact centre' or the branch? If its the branch I hear they are very nice but I would personally avoid the call centre at all costs. It's in a good position above the branch in town but its very Big Brotherish - they listen in to and record all your calls then grade you on them, you have to dress up to work on a phone, the targets are unobtainable and no one stays very long - however that is just my opinion!! Good luck

It was for the contact centre but I didnt get short listed, probably a good thing

Do you think they even bother to read the applications?

Do you think they even bother to read the applications?
It's possible that they use software to search for certain words/phrases in the application - it might not even have been read by a human being...
