craigpugh 30-06-2008, 11:52 PM Hello, we are all set for a wedding in the grounds of our venue. we have a contingency in case it's absolutely p'ing it down, but we wondered about getting brollies in in case of cope-able-with ammounts of drizzle, spitting, showers, you know, all that! (its will be 2nd august)
We wondered about hiring them, or else where we might be able to borrow some from. For example, in B&Q they have loads of orange B&Q ones for customers going into the garden centre parts. If we had an orange scheme i'd scrounge and borrow off B&Q... so any ideas for places who'd have stocks of brollies, preferably in turquoise/powder blue or lilac/purple colours!??
Other wise, any where hiring or selling brollies cheap??
Claret 01-07-2008, 07:48 AM Primark sell them dirt cheap - in some cool colours and patterns - well I say dirt cheap - about £3 each. Or try sports soccer - they generally have big golf umbrellas reasonably priced.
honeyb35 01-07-2008, 09:58 AM i saw some perfect ones in primark a while back, they were clear with a red trim...naturally i didnt get any and havent seen them since  i'm hoping get more lol
i know poundland do them, but i think you'd be lucky to get several in the same shade!
looby lou 01-07-2008, 10:51 AM the vintage shop on division street sell really nice umberellas I think they are about a fiver. I cant remember the name of it though!
em'smum 01-07-2008, 02:37 PM Other wise, any where hiring or selling brollies cheap??

geckoqueen 05-07-2008, 02:26 PM Hi
We've done draft 1 (of god knows how many) of our invites list and have hit upon a problem. Our wedding venue and reception are several miles apart.
We want to invite the people who are coming to the reception meal, but can't fit into the ceremony, to the venue of the ceremony for pictures and because they've travelled a long way, the grounds are pretty and should be able to see from the outside.
A great plan as long as its sunny but that's never a given, is it? So we are going to get about 20 umbrellas for people in either white, cream or plum/mullberry.
Has anyone got a suggestion for where to get them or how else to get around this problem?
Thanks
looby lou 05-07-2008, 08:39 PM em harrison was saying she was going to hire out umberellas from her shop

geckoqueen 06-07-2008, 05:22 PM That's a brilliant idea - I had no idea how I would reuse 20 umbrellas
honeyb35 05-08-2008, 06:19 PM i've just bought some dark red ones from poundland! they arent great but they are the right colour and they look ok, they have silver handles. Cheap and fine for what we need!
Mentalmomma 11-08-2008, 12:49 AM Bit late for OP now, but soocer sport 'i believe itis' the sports shop in corner next to H&M in M/hall sells the large golfing type for 2.99 last time we were in. Nice and big to covers bride etc.

That site is good - £2/brolly to hire the big white sturdy golfing ones. Thanks! :)
